THE GARMENT OF PRAISE: HAVE YOU PUT IT ON?
(Isaiah 61:3) “To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, ‘THE GARMENT OF PRAISE FOR THE SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified”.

The Hebrew word for garment’ here is ‘mattah’, which means to “wrap oneself in or to veil oneself. When we begin to praise, we ‘shine forth’ with sound and color.”
So when we choose to praise God we wrap ourselves in a supernatural heavenly garment of power and light (literally seen in the spirit world) that ‘FLOWS’ with ‘UNSTOPPABLE FORCE’.
Praising God destroys the spirit of heaviness. When we choose to be thankful we are filled with light, and we put off the power of sadness and despair and ‘DISMANTLE’ the realm of the demonic.
The Garment of Praise when practiced regularly defeats the darkness, harshness, and cruelty that thrives under the mantle of criticism, gossip, slander, and fault finding.
Child of God, do this now, do this today, do this regularly and break the back of despair, and the spirit of hopelessness. YES, PRAISE GOD, NOW, lift Him on High, rejoice in Him always, AND WATCH DESPAIR AND THE SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS EVAPORATE.
KEEP ON DOING IT UNTIL YOU SENSE THE RELEASE FROM HEAVINESS AND CONFIDENCE FILLS YOUR SOUL.
Then make it a practice until praise to your God freely flows out of your ‘spirit’ and out of your heart.
Worship God with these beautiful words, “THOU ART WORTHY, OH LORD, TO RECEIVE GLORY AND HONOR AND POWER, FOR THOU HAST CREATED ALL THINGS AND FOR THY PLEASURE THEY ARE, AND WERE CREATED”.
You and I were created for His pleasure, and because we were, then as His sons and daughters who love Him, we also will want to bring pleasure to His heart. And because God is a good God, and because God is love, He created us to bring glory and pleasure to His heart.

That glory and pleasure that He created us for is that He might share with us, His children, all the good things He created for us to enjoy, and share in the ongoing, never ending blessings of this life, and the life to come in Heaven for eternity.
Depression can’t exist in the true spirit of praise. When we put on the garment of praise we have exchanged the spirit of heaviness for this heavenly garment.
The garment of praise makes it possible for God to lift us up into the realms of glory, and breathe the rarified air of heaven.
Nothing pleases God more than when we permanently wear that shining joyful garment. All inhabitants of heaven are wearing the ‘glorious God honoring ‘GARMENT OF PRAISE’, and so should we. When we do it brings the presence of God down upon us and our situations, and attracts holy angels who also bring some more of the glory and presence of God down to you, and angels begin to minister to you in ways that will build your faith, increase your love for God, and push back the darkness and enemy forces. All praise, honor, and glory belong to our God, and His Son, Jesus Christ.
