TONGUES IS LIKE AN UMBILICAL CORD CONNECTING YOU TO HEAVEN. INTERESTED? READ ON.
(Luke 24:29) “And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. But ‘REMAIN’ in the city ‘UNTIL’ you have been clothed with power from on high.” Beloved, once you’ve been born-again you must be obedient to the Father, and receive the Holy Spirit.
Remember, Rom. 8:26-28 “The Spirit Himself helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know what, or how to pray, but the Spirit makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
(even groanings in the Spirit have meaning and power). In tongues you sometimes pray, sometimes praise God, sometimes talk to God, sometimes God, through your tongues is speaking to you.
Usually your tongues are gentle and loving, but then they may change to a very powerful, authoritative tongue, which is God speaking to you, encouraging you in your spirit, helping you to recover, or receive strength and anointing to accomplish some difficult purpose. AMEN.

Notice that the disciples were not to minister or do anything else (for God), until they received the promise of the Spirit.
You see how important it is to wait for and receive the promise, when Jesus said to wait for it, ‘UNTIL’. UNTIL WHAT? Until you have been clothed with power from on high.
(Jn 15:5) Jesus said, “…without me you can do nothing”. And, child of God, without the Holy Spirit we can do nothing.
Many a ministry, and huge church has been built on men’s human efforts, and talents, and may not have been what God wanted at all.

TONGUES is God’s way for the ordinary Christian that loves and obeys God to enter into the supernatural realm of God, in his everyday life.
THAT’S POWERFUL. THINK ABOUT THAT. (Acts 1:8) “But you shall receive ‘POWER WHEN’ the Holy Ghost comes upon you, and you shall be witnesses unto Me in Jerusalem (your town, neighborhood), Judea, Samaria, and unto the ends of the earth”.
This power may be translated and transferred into souls being drawn to Christ, miracles happening when you proclaim to them the ‘Healing Word’, and mighty works of God brought into being by your speaking in Holy Ghost tongues.

Remember, nothing can happen without faith. Notice this interesting Scripture in Jude 20, 21 “And you brethren, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost”.
Nothing happens without faith, and it takes faith to speak in tongues (a faith that works by love).
NOTE VERY CAREFULLY. We shouldn’t, but often do let doubt creep in when we pray for a difficult situation in our native tongue.
But when we launch out and begin praying in tongues, we are by-passing our mind and intellect where the doubts originate, and as we pray, our faith increases.
And by the Spirit we are praying powerful, and mighty prayers that would stagger our minds if we knew what we were praying for.
In the Spirit (without our natural mind realizing it) we may be transported to Africa, or China, where a beleaguered saint, is ready to give up.
He has been praying and not been able to pray through, has in his spirit heard the voice of your spirit speaking in ‘tongues’, his African, or Hawaiian language or dialect empowered by the Holy Spirit.
By the Spirit you are saying, “You can make it. God is with you and will strengthen and encourage your heart.
That has happened to me several times, and may have happened to you also). AMEN.
