(Rev. 12:11) “And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony”. It’s interesting to note that all three elements for victory are found in this one verse. The blood, the word, our testimony.

The blood sums up what the finished work of Calvary entails and plainly reveals to us what Christ has purchased for us. By testifying to what God has done for us, it testifies clearly that what we have received from God was made possible and was purchased through Jesus shed blood.

OUR TESTIMONY OF VICTORY shows that our triumph over Satan, again was made complete and possible only through Jesus shed blood on the cross of Calvary.

It’s only through the Word that we have the knowledge of what the blood does, and what the full work of Calvary has accomplished. Only through the Word can we know that the full work of Calvary has purchased every benefit we can enjoy, and every need of fallen humanity.

The Benefits of Calvary are redemption from the fall through the death and shed blood of Jesus (salvation), forgiveness, cleansing, peace with God and the peace of God, healing, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, answers to prayer, angelic ministry and protection, deliverance from active demonic attacks.

It also includes authority over all demonic powers through the name of Jesus, the gifts of the Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit, and all heavenly blessings in and through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The blood of Jesus, however, is not a lucky charm, it wasn’t meant to be applied over sin that we don’t intend to repent of, and it won’t work for us under those circumstances. It works totally and powerfully when we repent of our sins whenever we have failed God and sinned. Demons can not get to us through the blood of Jesus when we are walking in the Spirit, in faith, love and obedience to God.

I want to close with this powerful and assuring scripture, (Ephesians 1:7) “In whom we have redemption through His (Jesus’) blood, the forgiveness of sin, according to the riches of His grace”.

There’s so very much to thank God for and rejoice over. AMEN.
