Who do you think is putting such thoughts in your mind. Is it possible that it’s the Prince of the Power of the Air?”
This is exactly who’s planting those thoughts in your mind. These thoughts are a part of the spiritual atmosphere of darkness, the rulers of the darkness of this world and of this present wicked age (Eph 2:1-2)
If deliverance was outdated then why did Jesus read from Isaiah 61:1… “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me because the Lord God has anointed me to preach good tidings to the meek, He has sent Me to bind up the broken hearted, To proclaim liberty to the Captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound”.
You say, well, if there is any deliverance it’s for the unsaved, yet the unbeliever is not a candidate for deliverance because he’s just that, an unbeliever. Deliverance is one of the benefits of Calvary for the believer, not the unsaved. He won’t believe, and doesn’t want anything that God has, because of ignorance and unbelief.
Deliverance is the ‘CHILDREN’S BREAD’, (A child of God). We read that in Matthew 15:22-28 “A woman cries out to Jesus saying, “Have mercy on me, oh Lord, ‘Son of David’. My daughter is grievously vexed (tormented) by a devil (demon). Jesus testing her faith, said to her, “it’s not right to take the children’s bread and give it to ‘dogs‘.
She was a gentile and gentiles were considered as low and contemptible as dogs. What an insult? But she amazed even Jesus with her next words. “Yes Lord, but the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the master’s table”.
Did you hear that? Oh my, she humbled herself as low as anyone possibly could, and Jesus was deeply moved and said, “Oh woman, great is your faith. Receive even as you have believed.” And her daughter was made whole (delivered from that demon) that very hour. You see, deliverance is the children’s bread, and yet those who will humble themselves before the Lord and believe, will surely receive the children’s bread and be healed. Whenever God delivers us or heals us, our hearts whelm up with praise to our wonderful God. See my article on Praise.
Now you say, “If they’re Christians they don’t need deliverance. A Christian can’t have a demon. What many in the church will not believe or accept is that a Christian may need deliverance.
They quote Mark 8:36 “If the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed”. But haven’t you seen Christians who were bound by fear and their fear is getting worse as time goes by?
Haven’t you seen Christians full of wrath and rage who can’t control their tempers. But you say, “If they’d just start exercising some self-control, and following the scriptures, and if need be, do some extra praying and some fasting he’d be set free?
But what if he does all of that and he still can’t get free? Listen carefully, if you’re into the scriptures, and disciplining yourself, and attempting to deny yourself in the area of your problem, and none of these things are working, – EXPECT A DEMON.
Think about it for a moment. If you have done everything you can and you haven’t been able to get free of your bondage, and it’s getting worse, and if it’s not a demon, and you’ve been told a Christian can’t have a demon, ‘IT’S TIME TO PANIC’.
If it’s a demon you have the scriptural promise that a demon can be cast out, but if you say a Christian can’t have a demon and you’ve tried everything else, and it hasn’t worked, you’ll lose hope and think, there’s no help for me. BUT THANK GOD THERE IS. YOU CAN BE DELIVERED.
“Jesus came to set the captive free and to open the prison door to them that are bound, but if you believe it can’t be a demon because you’re a Christian, and you haven’t been able to get free, then you’re doomed to keep your everlasting increasing problem.
CASTING OUT THAT DEMON IS YOUR SOLUTION. PRAISE THE LORD. GLORY TO GOD.

After deliverance, it is then that you will find denying yourself, taking up your cross daily, getting into the Word and becoming established in it, and standing on the Word, and consistently obeying and following the Lord will keep you free. AFTER YOU HAVE BEEN PRAYED FOR AND SET FREE, THEN YOU MUST WALK OUT YOUR DELIVERANCE EVERY HOUR OF EVERY DAY.

Remember this, sin is a door opener to demon power. Sin invites demons into your life. Repentance gives you legal authority to get rid of them and command them to leave you in Jesus mighty name.
(Mark 16:17) Jesus said, “These signs shall follow those who believe, In my name shall you cast out devils (demons)”. Jesus has given us the authority to cast demons out of others who ask for it and gives you authority to command them to leave your life in Jesus name. THEN YOU CAN HAVE PEACE, VICTORY, AND DOMINION OVER ALL THE FORCES OF EVIL AND DARKNESS.
