In John 14, Jesus asks the woman from Samaria who came to Jacob’s well to fetch water, give me a drink. She says to Jesus, “How is it that you being a Jew asks me to give you a drink? The Jews have nothing to do with the Samaratans. If you knew the gift of God and who it is that is speaking to you, you would have asked of Him, and He would have given you ‘LIVING WATER’.
When you drink water from this well you will get thirsty again, but the water I give to you wells up and springs forth to eternal life and you will never get thirsty again.
Jesus is talking about the spiritual realm while comparing it to the natural realm. We must drink water in the natural realm over and over again, but he that drinks this ‘LIVING WATER’ will never thirst again. We are living in two worlds at the same time, two realms. We are living in the natural realm where we must drink H20, and we are walking in the Spirit where drinking of ‘THE LIVING WATER’ springs up to; eternal life.
Biblical descriptions of heavenly things such as ‘Living Water, being baptized in ‘The Holy Ghost and ‘FIRE’, the ‘MIGHTY RUSHING WIND AT PENTECOST, the Angel riding a ‘SPIRIT HORSE’ through endless space. The ‘THRONE ROOM, GOD SITTING ON HIS THRONE, THE RAINBOW SURROUNDING THE THRONE AND MANY MORE. These are not symbolic, but actualities and realities in another realm.
We must learn to live in two worlds at the same time. Jesus said to Nicodemus in John 3:3 “Except a man be born-again ‘HE CANNOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD’.
The obvious meaning of this scripture is, UNLESS you are born-again, you cannot see heaven or even get there. But have you considered there may be a ‘SECONDARY MEANING’, one that may very well involve the ‘PRIMARY MEANING’. UNLESS you are born again your spiritual eyes are not opened to spiritual realities. We cannot perceive or understand spiritual realities.
Paul writes in (I Corinthians 2:14) “But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned”.
But, even deeper yet than being able to perceive or understand spiritual truth, is the addition of ‘SIGHT AND SOUND, AND TOUCH of actually being in that holy realm of Spirit.
People today, are actually being taken to heaven in increasing numbers, seeing holy angels, visiting the ‘THRONE ROOM.
The sad truth is, many who are born-again, never have their spiritual eyes opened, though saved, to see into the spiritual realm. Those spiritual encounters are very important because it helps to bring us into an intimacy with God that nothing else can accomplish.
Walking in the spirit, love, and obedience is strengthened mightily when we can actually see Him, have him talk to us and answer our questions, and encourage us.
YES, WE MUST WALK IN TWO WORLDS AT THE SAME TIME. Think about it. WE ARE IN TWO PLACES AT THE SAME TIME.
REMEMBER WHAT JESUS SAID IN (EPHESIANS 2:6) “And God raised us up together with Him (when we believed) and seated us with Him in heavenly places (realms) because we are in Christ Jesus” AMP.
We can be born-again but think those words are only symbolic. When we don’t believe in the reality of that scripture we can’t see ourselves there in actuality, or even in our mind’s eye. When that happens we can’t conduct business with Christ concerning earthly matters, and decisions. I believe Christ let’s us help Him in decisions and planning concerning the harvest, and developing strategies to defeat the devil, and how to help Believes prepare for revival, and other great and mighty things.
