Several decades ago my wife had a problem with a friend of mine. He had said something offensive to her that made her very angry.

Now, my wife is also very stable emotionally and rarely gets angry, but this incident really got to her.
We were getting ready to go to church and she was in our bedroom ‘Teasing her hair’, and she had an intense look on her face, and was jerking her comb through her hair in strong and angry strokes. We were both silent as I watched her for a few moments.
READ; HE THAT ENDURES TO THE END THE SAME SHALL BE SAVED.
I broke the silence by asking her, ‘A PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS?’, and she stopped and broke out laughing, we both did.
This man that offended her was my best friend and a Pastor where we were engaged in revival meetings. He was a Godly man, but just happened to say the wrong thing at the wrong time to my wife.
The pastor got down on his knees and begged her forgiveness, which of course, she forgave him.
My wife too is a very Godly and caring person. I want you to know that we are all friends to this day.

My wife and I agreed together when we first began our ministry, that we would never go into Church services with a grudge between us.

We agreed that we’d always settle the argument and forgive one another before we’d ever go out to minister to others. We have kept that agreement for over 60 years.
I think you can see that if we would take those hard feelings out with us to our congregation that an unseen spiritual unhealthy atmosphere would surround the people and minister the very opposite of what we taught or preached.

It would minister deceit, grudge-bearing, anger and confusion even though we preached on love and forgiveness.
I’m talking about a realm of reality in the invisible world that touches and affects all of us whether we realize it or not.
It would loose spirits of deceit, grudge-bearing, anger and confusion on the people without them ever knowing what was happening and why?
Everything we think, everything we say, and everything we do affects people according to it’s nature and intensity.

These things will either minister to people, positively or negatively, and these actions will reverberate throughout time and space and even into eternity.
So, let us forgive when we’ve been offended, and BRING OUR EVERY THOUGHT INTO CAPTIVITY TO ‘THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST.
(2 Corinthians 10:4,5). “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”

When our heart is right and when we get things right with God it brings the Atmosphere of Heaven and releases the angels of God to bless and minister to us.

When we don’t forgive and repent it creates an atmosphere of darkness that releases demons, brings you into bondage, and endangers your very soul.
In fact, Jesus when teaching His disciples to pray, said this, “Forgive us our trespasses (sins against others), as we forgive those who trespass against us (forgive others who sin against us).
Notice carefully, that Jesus is actually saying, “GOD IF I DON’T FORGIVE OTHERS THEIR SINS AGAINST ME, DON’T EVEN BOTHER TO FORGIVE ME”…I’ve paraphrased this Scripture, to let you see what it really means and how serious it really is that we ‘FORGIVE OTHERS’.
We know that God doesn’t allow anyone into heaven who He hasn’t forgiven.
And if we haven’t forgiven one another no matter what they’ve done to us, or whoever did it to us, then God will not forgive us, that’s what Jesus taught His disciples in the ‘LORD’S PRAYER’.
By the way, “God so loved the whole world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”.
Yet though He loves you so very much, He will only save you if you from your heart, ‘CHOOSE‘ Him as your Lord and Savior.
God never forces anyone to serve Him, only those who ask Him into their heart by faith, and then live for Him all the days of their lives.
Dear friend, if you will ask Jesus to save your soul, and come into your heart right now, and ask him to forgive you of your sins, he will save you and forgive you this very moment.
HAVE YOU ASKED HIM? DO IT NOW. IF YOU HAVE, THEN PRAISE GOD, IT’S DONE.
Now, back to forgiveness. You see that it’s absolutely essential that we forgive everyone that has offended or hurt us. IT KEEPS OUR HEARTS RIGHT WITH GOD.
(Proverbs 23:7) “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he”.
