Will we even recognize the error if we see it?
(Romans 10:9-10) “If you shall confess with your mouth that ‘JESUS IS LORD’, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”.

Whenever men are made to believe that receiving Jesus as Savior is sufficient without also, at the same time, making Him Lord of their lives, they have believed a fatal lie.

And unless that person through mercy is shown his error and the deception of his ways and repents, will have a tendency to wander farther and farther away from God, and eventually be lost.

We must understand that if Jesus is not Lord of our lives, we will order our steps the way we see fit in blindness, not submitting to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and without realizing the necessity of conforming to His will.

Not to conform to God’s will is not to conform to God’s Word, and His Word is His will for our lives.

Self-centeredness drives us on to follow the deception into paths of ruin and destruction. Self-devotion, self-pleasure, and deep selfishness is totally contrary to all the ways of God, righteousness, and His kingdom.
Jesus told His disciples in the Gospel of Mark, chapter 8:34-38 “Whoever comes after me let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever will save his life (by living a selfish life) will lose it. But whoever shall lose his life (by giving it unselfishly to bring others to Christ, and to live for God) will save it.
For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul, or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul….Whoever shall be ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father, with the holy angels.”
Dear Christian friend, pause a moment, and give serious consideration to this scripture. It is telling us that as Christians, if we are ashamed to witness and tell others of Jesus, He will be ashamed of us before our Heavenly Father.
Dear friend, that should put the ‘Fear of God’ in our hearts‘. Do you understand what Jesus is saying, “If, we as Christians, are ashamed of Him and will not open our mouths to tell others about Jesus, we will be condemned and rejected on the day when God opens all His books to judge us. He is saying we will not be fit for heaven if we neglect this word.
Forget about what you and I have been taught by the church about the security of the saints. This scripture tells us that we will be told, “depart from me into every lasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels if we become silent Christians. I tremble at this word. You should too.
Let us get revived and on fire for God, and become bold witnesses for Christ and love our neighbors and friends and bring them to Christ. We can’t win all we pray for and witness to, but we can win some.
With love on one hand and the Word of truth on the other, let us bring precious souls into the kingdom. When you and I do this, we will know no bounds to our joy, peace, and blessed assurance.

(Gal. 5:19-21) “The works of the flesh are obvious: Sexual immorality, impurity, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, envy, drunkenness, and orgies, of which I tell you, that they that do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Notice the stark contrast between the fruit of the Spirit and the works of the flesh.
(Gal. 5:22) “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, and self-control, against such there is no law.”

Since when do you need a policeman to come to your house and say, “You’re under arrest because you are loving, caring, self-controlled, gentle, and faithful? No, there’s no law against those who manifest the fruit of the Spirit.

Where Christians do not make Jesus the Lord of their lives we see that it encourages sin and wickedness. THIS IS LIVING A LIFE IN REBELLION TO GOD. And those who live in rebellion to Him will not go to heaven.
Those who make Jesus Lord of their lives reject the works of the flesh and choose to live by the Spirit and manifest the fruit of the Spirit.
We will have eternal life because we will walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh.
(Romans 6:22-23) “But now being made free from sin, and become servants of God, you have your fruit unto holiness and the end everlasting life. for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”.
Notice Paul doesn’t say the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ ‘your Savior’, but through Jesus Christ ‘YOUR LORD‘, His emphasis here is on ‘THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS CHRIST’.
It is true, of course, that we have eternal life through Jesus Christ who is our Savior, but here the Holy Spirit makes sure the emphasis is on receiving the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. THE ONE THAT WE TOTALLY SUBMIT TO IN HUMBLE OBEDIENCE.

THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE IS GIVEN TO THOSE WHO BELONG TO JESUS CHRIST AND ARE LIVING HOLY LIVES.
THESE ARE THE ONES WHO RECOGNIZE THAT THOSE WHO CHOOSE TO WALK IN THE SPIRIT AND NOT IN THE FLESH, WILL AT DEATH, BE REWARDED WITH ETERNAL LIFE.
THEY WILL HEAR THE BEAUTIFUL WORDS OF THE LORD.
“MY CHILD, ENTER INTO THE ‘JOYS’ OF THE LORD, YOU HAVE BEEN FAITHFUL AND TRUSTWORTHY OVER A FEW THINGS, I WILL MAKE YOU RULER OVER MANY THINGS.” (Matthew 25:23)
