One of the biggest ‘MISUNDERSTANDINGS‘, about the Devil is found in a faulty and incomplete understanding of the following scripture. And because of it, too many Christians are left vulnerable and open to the Devil’s destructive work.

They say, ‘IT’S IMPOSSIBLE FOR SATAN TO TELL THE TRUTH? They quote that part of the Scripture that says, “…Satan is a liar and there is no truth in him”. I will revisit this in a moment, but read on.
(John 8:43-44) Jesus said, “Why is My language (word) not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire.

He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies he speaks his native language, for he is a ‘liar’ and the ‘father of lies’.”
When Jesus showed mercy on the woman taken in adultery (in John 8) and when her accusers who would have stoned her to death, left, Jesus asked her, “WHERE ARE YOUR ACCUSERS?”
She humbly and gratefully answered, “NONE, LORD”. And Jesus said to the woman, “Neither do I condemn you, ‘GO AND SIN NO MORE‘
The Pharisees challenged Jesus and tried to catch Him in His words. They also said, “We are Abraham’s children, and we have only one Father, God.

Jesus told them, “If God was your father, then you would love me. You would then obey His Word and not try to kill me.
WE OFTEN HEAR ‘LOUD AND CLEAR’, SATAN IS ‘INCAPABLE OF TELLING THE TRUTH‘.
While it is true that Satan is a liar, and is the father of lies, it is ‘NOT TRUE THAT SATAN CAN NOT TELL THE TRUTH‘.
Jesus meant by His statement, ‘there is no truth in him, he means that ‘THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS’ whole purpose, his whole mission, his every desire is to hurt God and to destroy mankind, and take him to hell.
This desire is burning in his black heart, and driving him ever onward, never slacking in his purposes of destruction.
Satan’s hatred for man is so strong that it can never give him rest until he destroys every last man, woman, teenager, child, and even the unborn in the womb.
Because of his rebellion and hatred for God and man, it has made him a liar through and through.

He will lie and lie and lie until he has fully accomplished his purpose. But because he’s a liar through and through that does not make it impossible for him to tell the truth when it’s to his advantage to do so?
No, of course not. Do human beings who are liars lose the ability to tell the truth? No, but just like the devil they will tell the truth to gain your confidence if that’s what it takes.
Then the truth paves the path for the lie and makes it more convincing. It causes you to let your guard down, and then they will lie to get their way. They will lie to get your savings, your husband, your wife.

NOW, THINK ABOUT IT FOR A MOMENT.
If Satan could not tell the truth, and could only lie, he also would be unable to give his hateful and destructive plans to those demons under him, and his kingdom could not survive.
He wants his army of wicked spirits to be able to help him fulfill his plans to destroy you, your spouse, and your children.
Can you understand how ‘FRUSTRATED‘ he’d be if he couldn’t get his army to understand because he couldn’t tell the Truth?

Satan must have the ability to tell the truth and give accurate instructions to his demons as to how they need to attack you, your spouse, and your children.
Yes, Satan must have the ability to tell the truth in order to be able to instruct and give commands to his demons in order to cause family break-up, and cause your children to get on drugs, and choose the world instead of God.
Even telling the truth plays into the hands of Satan, to make his lies even more deadly. You say, “How so?”

An unbeliever who never knew the truth of the Bible, and was never raised to hear the Word of God, can be (and is) deceived already by Satan’s lies.
The ‘Enemy of their souls’ can use 100% lies and the unbeliever swallows the lie, ‘hook, line and sinker’.

But, with the knowledgeable Christian who knows the Word of God well, it’s a different story, a different ball-game.”
Satan is not stupid, but extremely ‘brilliant’, but his great intellect has been darkened by sin and honed like a sharp knife to be plunged into his victim, before his victim can even detect it.
What makes him so successful, His lies, or the ‘TRUTH‘?
SURPRISINGLY IT’S THE TRUTH, NOT THE LIE, – AT LEAST NOT TO BEGIN WITH.
If ‘The Destroying Angel, the Devil, were to tell the Christian all lies, he would quickly discern the lies because he knows the Word of God so well, AND WOULD QUICKLY REJECT THEM.
But, because the Devil who’s not supposed to be able to tell the truth, because we ‘BELIEVE THAT STATEMENT, IT GIVES THE DEVIL A GREAT ADVANTAGE.

HE NEEDS THAT ADVANTAGE TO SUCCESSFULLY DESTROY THE CHRISTIAN.
NOT BY SATAN’S LIES, BUT BY HIS TELLING THE BORN AGAIN CHILD OF GOD THE TRUTH FIRST, HE IS ABLE TO DECEIVE YOU SO YOU WILL LET YOUR GUARD DOWN.
AND WHEN THAT HAPPENS SATAN’S LIES WILL DO THE REST, AND BRING DISASTER ON THE CHRISTIAN.
If Satan can’t tell the truth, and I’m hearing the truth, then who’s talking to me. It certainly couldn’t be the Devil, because he can’t tell the truth, so that must be God, right?
WRONG!
He has just DECEIVED US, by the ‘lie’ that we’ve been told, that he is incapable of telling the truth. So it is the myth that he can’t tell the truth, that causes us to swallow the bait.

The fact is, he’s ‘LIED TO US, PUTTING INTO THE MINDS OF BELIEVERS, THAT HE’S INCAPABLE OF TELLING THE TRUTH, WHILE ALL THE TIME HE IS DISARMING US.
AND BECAUSE HE IS TELLING THE TRUTH, WE ARE LETTING OUR GUARD DOWN, AND HE IS PENETRATING OUR LIVES.
FIRST THE TRUTH, THEN THE LIE.
This is one time that the truth has blinded us. Satan tells more truth to the strong Bible believing Christian than he does to the unbeliever because the strong Christian knows the Bible well.
He sets the hook with truth, so when you let down your guard, he plants his lies in your heart and mind without any resistance.
BE ON GUARD AND REMEMBER THIS: SATAN KNOWS THE TRUTH AND WAS NO DOUBT GOD’S FIRST CREATION, EVEN BEFORE THE MATERIAL UNIVERSE.
SATAN KNOWS GOD AND KNOWS THE WORD OF GOD AND EVERY DETAIL OF IT. He and his demon followers once lived in heaven before they fell. They know all about heaven and how wonderful it was.
In the beginning before Lucifer fell he actually loved God and wanted to please Him. But when Satan sinned, he wanted to actually kick God off His throne and become God of the Universe. That’s when God said, “THAT’S ENOUGH”.
God cast Satan and his fallen angels down to earth with the mightiest and most powerful lightning bolt ever seen.
Satan forms doctrines and sells them to theologians and preachers and seminaries that tells them, ‘ONCE THEY RECEIVE CHRIST AS SAVIOR THEY CAN NEVER BE LOST.
THAT’S SATAN’S MOST POWERFUL WEAPON. Let me tell you why.
Because so many Christians have been told that their sins were dealt with by Jesus on the cross (that part is true), and that the full work of Calvary has forgiven us of all our sins, past, present, and future, and that we can never lose our salvation (which is not scriptural).
Let me show you what happens at this point.
Everything is fine as long as we’re walking in the Spirit and walking in the light, and walking in obedience.
But when we sin, and we know we have sinned and don’t deal with it and repent of it, it opens a door to the Devil and takes us out from under the blood covenant and covering. Then the Devil begins to destroy us.
Scripture tells us that Satan is the ‘ACCUSER OF THE BRETHREN’. We need to understand something. Satan doesn’t accuse us falsely. He knows better. God would punish him severely if he accused us falsely.
Satan goes by the ‘BOOK’, THE HOLY BIBLE.
IT’S THE ONLY BOOK THAT REALLY MATTERS TO SATAN. He has his wicked ‘spirit lawyers’ who do nothing but study the Word of God. Other spirits observe everything you and I do and say.

Every time we say something in disobedience to the Word, and every time we do something sinful and contrary to God’s Word, they write it in their book of ‘ACCUSATIONS AGAINST THE BELIEVER.
REMEMBER, SATAN IS THE ACCUSER OF THE BRETHREN, RIGHT?
We as Believers are taught that Satan has no legal right to accuse a Christian.
WHY?
Because we have been brought into covenant with God and we have been brought under the blood covering and therefore, Satan can’t accuse us, right?
Well, that’s correct as long as we are fully trusting and obeying God’s Word.
God’s Word says, in (I Jn 1:7) ‘IF’ we walk in the ‘LIGHT’ as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with the other ‘AND’ (THEN) the ‘blood’ of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness”.
This Scripture says that as long as we walk in the light, the blood of Jesus cleanses us, but if we disobey God and stop walking in the light, which is hating my brother, and not living an obedient life before God.

When we stop walking in the light and stop obeying God’s Word and doing our own selfish thing, Satan has found his case against us.
And his case will be in every area where we are breaking the Word of God and violating His commandments.
(John 14:21) Jesus said, “He that has my commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me, and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and l will love him and manifest myself to him”.
So, when he tells the truth we say, “that can’t be the devil, because He is telling us the truth that Jesus is the only Savior, that Jesus died for the sins of all, and that, (GET READY NOW), that It is Jesus blood that has redeemed us, cleansed us, and washed away all sin.
THAT IS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH ISN’T IT? Yes, yes, yes.
YOU SAY, …. “NOW WAIT A MINUTE. SATAN CAN’T CROSS THE BLOOD LINE. HE CAN’T TOUCH YOU IF YOU’RE UNDER THE BLOOD, YES, THAT’S TRUE, BUT HERE’S WHERE SATAN PLANTS HIS LIES.
So, you believe a Satanist can’t read Scripture about the blood. Well, we had a Satanist come to our church to destroy it, and she talked about the blood of Jesus and how Jesus redeemed us and forgave us through His blood.
How powerful and deceptive is that, when following a plan to destroy us. Yes, the blood of Jesus redeems us. Yes, the blood of Jesus forgives us of all our sins of the past and present and cleanses and purifies us. YES ALL OF THAT IS TRUE AND ESSENTIAL.
Now, under the cover of Scriptural truth, this Satanist began to systematically destroy us and the church, but God eventually manifested Himself and reveled what was going on.
REMEMBER THIS: A Satanist can talk about and teach about redemption and the blood of Jesus.
WHAT THEY CANNOT STAND UP TO IS THIS:
IF YOU PLEAD THE BLOOD OF JESUS AGAINST THEIR DESTRUCTIVE PLANS, AND APPLY THE BLOOD TO THE DEMONS IN THEM, IT WILL FLUSH THEM OUT.
THIS IS A FACT. WE EXPERIENCED IT AND LIVED THROUGH IT. SO PROFIT BY WHAT I’M TELLING YOU.
READ: WHO WAS THE MAN IN BRIGHT LIGHT DRESSED IN A PURE WHITE ROBE? HE APPEARED TO ME IN MY DREAM.
Yes we actually had a Satanist in our Church who baited us with (some truth) mixed with the lie.
She told us that she was a Satanist (which was true), and she told us that she was a Christian and was a worker at PTL (Which was a lie.
She told us that she had gotten saved at Jim Baker’s PTL, (a lie, which we initially believed), and that she had come to out church, and asked us if we would pray for her deliverance.
And she asked if we would give her our covering, prayers, and protection from the Satanists in our area where she was part of their coven (this was a lie. She wasn’t a Christian at all, but was sent to destroy us and our Church).
For 6 months she had us fooled, but God showed us what she really was, and we won, and she lost. GOD GET’S ALL THE GLORY. PRAISE GOD.
There’s another area where Satan will never lie, and will ‘ALWAYS TELL THE TRUTH. HE’S AFRAID NOT TO TELL THE TRUTH.
You and I understand clearly that God knows all things, right? We all know that God knows all things, and Satan is not stupid and knows that God knows everything.
He dwelt in heaven for perhaps millions of years as the ‘ANOINTED CHERUB THAT COVERED’.
What did He cover? He covered the very Throne of God. He was the worship angel of heaven.
He understood very well that God knows everything about everything, from the beginning of creation until the end of time, and then beyond into eternity without end.
So, he will never lie to God, because he knows that God knows everything about him, and all his plans to destroy.
HE ALSO HAS BEEN GIVEN STRICT ORDERS THAT HE CANNOT DO ANYTHING TO DESTROY ANYONE WITHOUT HIS (GOD’S PERMISSION).
When men live godly, trusting and loving Jesus, God never gives Satan permission to destroy them. (Job was godly and loved, trusted and obeyed God, but left one door open, and that was fear and doubt. HE SAID, “THAT WHICH I GREATLY FEARED HAS COME UPON ME”.
Fear and doubt is a door opener for Satan to penetrate our lives, and in Job’s case God gave permission for Satan to attack Job, but God gave strict orders to Satan that he could not take his life.
BE PRAYERFUL, AND BE AWARE THAT THE DEVIL CAN AND WILL TELL THE TRUTH WHEN IT SERVES HIS PURPOSE TO DESTROY. So be aware of his deception, know the Word well, and stay CLOSE TO GOD.
Now, before we close this thought about whether this Master Liar is capable of telling the truth, let me now actually zero in on a few Lies the Devil definitely wants to get across to the masses.
First of all, he wants people to believe that the Bible is not the Word of God. Or Satan tells over and over again that the Bible has been corrupted, or has been mistranslated.
THOSE ARE SERIOUS LIES OF THE DEVIL. THE BIBLE IS THE INERRANT WORD OF GOD, THAT MEANS IT HAS BEEN GIVEN WITHOUT ERROR.
Think about it, do you know another religious book, that claims to have the revelation of God that’s hated as much as the holy Bible? The Bible is either greatly loved (by Christians) or hated by wicked men.
Do you know of any other holy book that’s fought against as much, as the Bible?
Do you know of any other religious book that people will burn or tear up and oppose as much as the Bible, ‘THE HOLY SCRIPTURES?” No, you can’t find any other.
WHY IS THAT?
I’ll tell you why. It’s because Satan knows it’s the truth, and when he tried with a third of the angels of heaven to take over God’s throne, God said, “ENOUGH“.
AND THEN GOD CAST SATAN AND ALL HIS FOLLOWERS TO THE EARTH WITH A MIGHTY LIGHTNING BOLT, AND GAVE HIM THE SENTENCE THAT AT A TIME DECREED WOULD BE CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE FOR ETERNITY.
This both enraged Satan and terrified him all at the same time. He hates the Bible because it tells mankind how to get saved, how to have victory over the Devil, and how to get and stay free. It tells that Jesus died to save man from his sins.
Satan does not want humanity to believe that Jesus died for our sins. He doesn’t want men to believe that Jesus was crucified, and he certainly doesn’t want any one to believe that Jesus rose from the dead for our justification.
The Devil doesn’t want those who receive Christ to know that through Jesus’ death and resurrection He has given the Believer in Christ power and authority over all the power of the Devil.
(Luke 10:10) Jesus said, “Behold, I give unto you power to trample upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the Devil, and nothing shall by any means hurt you”.
SATAN KNOWS THIS, AND TREMBLES. Satan is more powerful and has more intelligence than the most powerful and the most intelligent human beings, but he also knows that Jesus gave ‘ALL POWER AGAINST SATAN TO THE CHRISTIAN BELIEVER’.
THE SCRIPTURE IS TRUE. DO YOU KNOW ANY RELIGION INCLUDING YOUR OWN THAT CAN HANDLE THE MOST POWERFUL AND DANGEROUS OF SPIRIT BEINGS, THE DEVIL, HIS MIGHTY FALLEN ANGELS AND HIS DEMONS? YOU KNOW THAT WHAT I’M SAYING IS TRUE.
I’VE CAST MANY DEMONS OUT, BY THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE NAME OF JESUS. WITHOUT GOD I, NOR ANYONE ELSE CAN CAST OUT EVIL SPIRITS.
BUT GOD’S WORD SAYS, IN HIS NAME WE CAN, AND I HAVE.
TRY CASTING A DEMON OUT OF ONE POSSESSED BY THE DEVIL AND USE ANY OTHER NAME, BUT THE NAME OF JESUS, AND SEE FOR YOURSELF, THAT SPIRIT WILL LAUGH IN YOUR FACE.
BUT THAT SAME SPIRIT WILL TREMBLE AND FEAR YOU BECAUSE THEY FEAR THE NAME OF JESUS. THEY FEAR NO OTHER PERSON’S GOD.
IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE IT TRY USING THE NAME OF ANY OTHER GOD OR GODDESS OTHER THAN THE GOD OF THE BIBLE. THE ALL POWERFUL NAME OF JESUS.
HOWEVER, I MUST WARN YOU, THEY IN ANGER WILL TEAR YOUR CLOTHES OFF AND HURT YOU SERIOUSLY JUST LIKE THEY DID IN BIBLICAL TIMES, WHEN THE SEVEN SONS OF SCEVA ATTEMPTED TO CAST THE SPIRIT OUT OF A MAN.
They weren’t Christians, but they came up to this demon possessed man, and these seven men said, “WE ADJURE YOU BY JESUS WHOM PAUL PREACED COME OUT OF THE MAN”.
AND THE EVIL SPIRIT SAID, PAUL I KNOW AND JESUS I KNOW BUT WHO ARE YOU’, AND THE SPIRIT JUMPED ON THE SEVEN, TORE THEIR CLOTHES OFF OF THEM AND WOUNDED THEM SEVERELY, AND THE ALL QUICKLY RAN AWAY”. (Acts 19:13-14)
THE BIBLE AND IT’S POWER THROUGH THE LIVING GOD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST TERRIFIES THE DEVIL AND HIS DEMONS. He’s also terrified by Christians that love, trust and obey their God.
He’s terrified of Believers who are powerful in prayer and know how to use their authority to defeat the Devil and his demons.
Jesus has given that authority to Christians to set the captives free. Captives that Satan has taken through drugs, lust, oppression and possession of demons and the powers of darkness.

DON’T SET YOUR HEART ON WHAT YOU WANT, BUT WHAT GOD WANTS. WHEN WE TAKE OURSELVES OUT OF THE EQUATION, AND SET OUR HEARTS ON WHAT GOD WANTS, WE ARE LESS LIKELY TO BE DECEIVED BY THE DEVIL.
ASK GOD, FOR THE ‘GIFT OF DISCERNMENT OF SPIRITS. STAY HUMBLE AND OPEN FOR CORRECTION. DON’T FEEL THAT YOU HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS. REMEMBER, ALSO, SCRIPTURE SAYS, ‘IN THE MULTITUDE OF COUNSELORS THERE IS ‘WISDOM’. AMEN AND AMEN.
