This is an area very few understand, but we need to. Our soul and our spirit are two very different things. Our spirit was created to contact spirit, and that is how we contact God.
Our born-again spirit is put in contact with the Spirit of God when we get saved and receive Christ. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. Our spirit and soul were created for one another.
They are to work hand and glove when we are converted and born-again. If, however, our souls are not renewed by the Word of God after we come to Christ, the disharmony between our soul and spirit will hinder our ability to properly hear from God, and to live successfully for Him.
HOW?
We must understand the important position that our soul plays in the function of our whole being.

God the Creator is a genius and when He created the soul He created a companion to both the body and the spirit of man.
The soul of man is married to both our body and spirit. It holds hands with both and is able to relate to the physical and the spiritual realms.

Our soul makes us conscious of, and able to interact with, and experience through our bodies our natural and physical world.
Now, with the soul’s other hand clasped together with the hand of your spirit it’s able to experience, see and hear God, Jesus, angels, heaven and even hell if God’s plan deems it necessary.
WHEN YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES, WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU’VE ALLOWED INTO YOUR SOUL, – GOOD OR BAD.
WHAT ARE THESE THINGS?
*Things you have focused on during the day *Things that you love and things that you hate and fear.
*DESTRUCTIVE THINGS THAT YOU ARE TIED TO , – OR RIGHTEOUS THINGS, AND GOD, THAT YOU ARE BONDED TO.
*IT IS THIS LAST POINT WE ARE BASICALLY CONCERNED WITH. *What is it that we’re ‘TIED TO‘, – and what is it we’re ‘BONDED TO‘.
WHEN WE CLOSE OUR EYES AND QUIET OUR MINDS, WE BEGIN TO SEE AND HEAR WHAT WE ARE TIED TO AND WHAT WE ARE BONDED TO.
*For that which is destructive I use the term tied to. *When I’m talking about freedom I have chosen to use the term bonded to.

As Christians any sin we have not repented of has formed a tie within our soul and with that particular sin, other person, image, thing, or ‘demon’. We may also call it a ‘Soul Tie‘.
Most Christians know nothing about soul-ties. And if they do it is very little, or is misunderstood. Many do not even believe they exist.
I can understand this because there is no mention of ‘soul ties’ in the Bible. There are many examples of soul-ties in God’s Word, but God doesn’t call these examples, soul-ties.

I once read where Jessica Jones who probably understands soul ties better than anyone I ever knew, said this about them, “THERE MUST BE A REASON GOD DOESN’T MENTION THEM, COULD IT BE THAT THEY ARE NOT HIS CREATION?
He mentions dietary laws, dress codes, sexual practices, religious practices, ceremonial requirements, relationships, because these are all things He has created and does not want perverted.
But He is totally silent on “Soul Ties.” (Some use certain scriptures to attempt to prove that the bible speaks about them, but this lady doesn’t believe that). Over a number of years I have come to agree with her.
Some teach that there are also ‘godly soul ties’, such as David and Johnathan in the O.T.
Johnathan loved David as his own soul, and scripture says his soul was knit to the soul of David, and he loved David as his own soul” (I Sam. 18:1).

This was love for David as the dearest of friends, it created a strong bond friendship, but not a soul tie, and it had nothing to do with a homosexual relationship, like some have tried to make us believe.
THERE ARE MANY KINDS OF SOUL-TIES.
And here are the major ones, there are 1) fortune teller and client (2) parent and child (3) friends (4) stalker and victim (5) student and teacher (6) sexual partners (7) person and object (8) generation soul-ties (9) person and pet (10) person and familiar spirit (11) generational vows, promises, dedications, and curses.

There are many things that exist that aren’t in the bible, but that doesn’t make the Bible untrue, or unreliable. No, not at all. Nor does it make the extra biblical thing true or untrue.
Just as the word ‘rapture’ isn’t in the bible, the teaching of the catching away of the saints suddenly from planet earth to meet the Lord in the air is taught in scripture.
So, though the word soul-tie isn’t used in the bible, the bible gives many examples of them, and when we learn about them, it gives us understanding as to how we can break them.
‘SOUL-TIES’ are created from strong emotions. The mechanics are simple.
The soul creates a strong emotion which triggers a spirit (fallen angel/demon) within the person to create a ‘spiritual tie’ with another person, animal, or thing)….quote by Jessica Jones.

IF YOU ARE CONTINUALLY SEEING, SINFUL SEXUAL RELATIONSHIPS OF THE PAST AND YOU HAVE COME TO CHRIST, YOU ARE DEALING WITH SIN NOT CONFESSED AND DEALT WITH, OR YOU HAVE A SINFUL SOUL TIE THAT NEEDS TO BE BROKEN.
Now, if you still love that sin and that partner of long ago, it is impossible to break that soul tie. Don’t love any sin so much you become captive to it.
If you studied the occult and was taught by a teacher of the occult that has formed a soul-tie, then you need to break it.
If you are a mother and didn’t want to get pregnant and have a child, an ungodly soul tie was formed between you and that child.
You need to break that soul-tie off of yourself, and break that soul-tie that the devil put on your child, of rejection, and perhaps suicide because they weren’t wanted.
THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IF YOU’VE HAD THIS EXPERIENCE.
Heavenly Father, forgive me of resentment for the (man) getting me pregnant, and forgive me for the anger (maybe even hate) over the child, and in the name of Jesus, I break this sinful soul-tie over myself.
I also break the soul-tie of rejection off of my child, and their feeling and words of, ‘Why was I ever born, in Jesus name?
If you continue to see sinful deeds, or affairs of the past, soul-ties have been formed through strong emotions of either love, hate or fear, and these have provided the fuel and material for demons to form these destructive soul-ties.
There are also Generational Soul-Ties that may have grown from generation to generation and passed from parent to child.
They are created by words of dedication. It could be they dedicated all their future posterity to a ‘Secret Society, or a ‘god or goddess’, or to an idol of some kind.
You may be hearing certain words over and over again that are tearing you down. You may be seeing scenes of having sexual affairs that you have broken off years ago and they are tormenting you right now.
THAT’S A SOUL TIE, AND THE DEVIL IS ENFORCING IT ON A CONTINUAL BASIS AND TORMENTING YOU WITH IT.
BREAK WHATEVER KIND OF SOUL TIME THAT HAS BOUND YOU AND HELD YOU CAPTIVE.
