Like it or not we are in a spiritual battle from the cradle to the grave. We are fighting to keep ourselves from being mortally wounded ourselves by staying close to Jesus.

(Ephesians 6:10-18) Read these verses again and re-familiarize yourself with them.
We must keep our focus on Him, and keep the Word that’s in our hearts on the tip of our tongues, as a Sword, and skillfully use it to defeat every demon attack in whatever area, or in whatever manner it presents itself.
(Jeremiah 23:29) “Does not my Word burn like fire”, says the LORD. “Is it not like a ‘Mighty Hammer’ that smashes a rock to pieces?”
The Word is extremely powerful, and if we’ll learn to use it with wisdom and the guidance of the Lord, We will win far more battles than we do now, and our faith would leap into the clouds.
Dear friend, because of the mighty forces of darkness that we are fighting against as described in Ephesians 6:11-12 we must let the Spirit of God open the eyes of our understanding.
Then, through Paul’s description of the forces of wickedness that we are warring against we then, of necessity, must put on the whole armor of God and get ready to ‘FIGHT’.
ENLIGHTENING: READ: …… THE ENEMY WITH BOW IN HAND HAS TARGETED YOU. WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a result of these High-level, powerful wicked spirits, who are specialists in their particular type of wickedness, and area of expertise, we as believers must put on the whole armor of God.
WHY?
So that we may be able to Stand our Ground when the Day of Evil Comes”. And when you’ve done everything to stand, Stand Firm.
And this is how you stand firm.
You and I shall not be moved, but will stand with the belt of ‘TRUTH’, buckled around your waist.

First of all our foundation of the Gospel is Truth. We have to know the truth in order to know what to stand for.
If we are standing for the lies of the Devil thinking they are truth, our foundation will crumble, and we will crumble and fall with our foundation, built upon a lie.

The Word of God is Truth. We must know that, and we must believe that with all our heart, soul, and mind. Unless we do, even the truth will have no power in our lives because doubting the Word disconnects us from the power of the Word.
(Isaiah 55:11) “So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it”.
If God sovereignly sends out his Word for His purposes, and not just to fulfill personal human need, if you can’t speak His Word in faith for His purpose, then someone else who’s led by the Spirit will.
Remember, the Word of God is so powerful, that He literally spoke the universe and world into existence with it. HOWS THAT FOR POWER.

Jesus said to the Devil when hungry and fasting 40 days, “If you be the Son of God, turn this stone into (tasty) bread, and He said, “MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.” (Matthew 4;4)
When we start living by the Word of God, that’s when we really start living. We’ll have victory at every turn. We’ll see prayer after prayer answered.
We’ll begin to believe for anything that we need to believe for. We’ll not be afraid of the Devil anymore. WE’LL BE ABLE TO CONQUER HIM EVERY TIME.
We’ll begin to believe all the promises of God, and we know the Word is absolute truth, and God cannot lie, so our FAITH, BECAUSE OF THE WORD, WILL GO STRAIGHT THROUGH THE ROOF. PRAISE GOD.

“With the breastplate of ‘RIGHTOUSNESS’ in place….And with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes with the gospel of peace….Above all this, take up the shield of Faith in which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil One.
Let’s look at these scriptures before going on. We need to have on the Breastplate of righteousness”.
This can become a little tricky. I don’t believe that this is talking about imputed righteousness. That comes when we get saved and repent of all our sins.
But the Breastplate of Righteousness is a part of the Armor that protects our heart from unrighteousness. By faith we die daily to our own desires, and lay down our lives in order to walk with the Lord.
Then take the helmet of Salvation.”
The Helmet protects what part of the body? It protects the Head, doesn’t it. If the head is not protected, the rest of the body cannot function properly. If the brain is severely injured, the body may not be able to function at all, and if a person is wounded in the head, he may not survive at all.
So, the helmet of salvation, is not only the assurance of salvation, but it is the substantial stuff necessary to give true assurance and not false assurance of salvation.
To have solid assurance of salvation, one must have come to Christ, recognizing his need for Christ. Knowing that he’s lost, he then has the basis for understanding that he needs to be saved.
And that understanding includes the knowledge, that he can only be saved by trusting in God and receiving Christ who died on the Cross. He also understands that when Jesus died on the cross he met all the demands of justice and paid man’s debt of sin, that he owed, but could never pay. JESUS PAID IT ALL ON CALVARY. PRAISE GOD.
“And the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God….
The Sword is a real Sword in the Spirit Realm, and it will accomplish real things, produce real healings, genuine deliverances from the powers of darkness and demons. The Word is spiritual bread from heaven and will meet all the needs of mankind.
It comforts the heart with true comfort. The Word, gives confidence like nothing else can. The Word produces faith as you hear it and read it. It puts the capstone on it when you speak it, believe it, and expect it to bring forth, and when it does, experience creates a double bond of faith. SEEING GOD’S WORD AS INVINCIBLE, AND GENUINE BEYOND ANY DOUBT.
And praying with all kinds of prayer and supplication in the Spirit (Tongues), and watching thereto with all perseverance and supplication for all Saints.”

God answers pray. Praise God. But we need to understand that God doesn’t simply answer pray, but He specifically answers ‘THE PRAYER OF FAITH’.
(Heb. 11:6) “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him”.
There’s no limit to what God will do if we will simply believe His Word. When we believe His Word, we are believing Him.
