Today we’re considering the scripture, (Ephesians 6:12), and perhaps the next verse or two. There’s so much more to this ‘WARFARE’ than any of us have any idea of.

(Ephesians 6:12) “For we wrestle not against ‘flesh and blood…”
Our struggle is not with people, or ordinary human beings, but against spirit beings of different kinds, and different locations with different purposes.
There are ‘DIFFERENT LEVELS OF AUTHORITY’ in Satan’s kingdom. We must understand as Christians that we are not fighting with people but with the ‘UNSEEN FORCES OF DARKNESS’.
WHO EXACTLY ARE WE FIGHTING AGAINST?
(Ephesians 6:12) “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, and powers…(against the Rulers)…of the darkness of this world”

These ‘RULERS’ are fallen ‘ANGELS’, and our struggle is against them. These classification of spirit beings can be good or bad. However, we know by the context of this scripture that he is talking about certain kinds of angels that fell.
These Angels are very wicked, and they are attempting to bring down the kingdom of God (which they won’t be able to do), but they may obstruct and hinder it greatly. Know this, whatever territory we as believers don’t Occupy, the Devil will.
The warfare is mighty and we as Children of God are right in the middle of it.
The Battle is so intense and fierce because the Church of Jesus Christ has not had it’s eyes open and the land we should have taken and occupied the Devil has come in and taken.
And over the decades Satan has strengthened himself because we have let him, and his roots run very deep. And the Battle becomes much more difficult. And we better understand it, and know how to battle against it.
We will need to know who our Captain is, and we better know our authority and know how to fight this battle.
This Scripture will give us much assurance and will also make clear who our ‘Leader is’, and who gives us the authority to fight and win.

(Ephesians 1:19-23) “And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe? According to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places (realms), far above all principality and power, and might and dominion…”
When Jesus was sent to this earth by His Father in heaven to buy us back out of the hand of sin and Satan, he paid a price that no one could ever pay.
Jesus, alone, was able to pay the price to buy our soul back from sin and wickedness. He did that by dying on a cruel cross, and by shedding His precious blood to redeem our soul.

First of all, the wages of sin is death…” The death sentence was passed upon all men/women, because all have sinned”. Jesus alone, who was both God and man, was qualified to die for us.
Through the God nature he was sinless, and without spot of any kind. Only a spotless, sinless person could ever qualify to die for sinful man, but the problem here was, only Jesus was absolutely pure and holy.
God had to sent Jesus His only begotten Son to earth to die for our sins. Because He was God His whole nature was pure and holy including His human nature.

Well, praise the Lord, Jesus is now seated in ‘HEAVENLY REALMS FAR ABOVE ALL….principality and power, and might and dominion, and every name that is named both in this age and in the age to come”.
Now, we find the solution to how it is that Jesus could legally and officially die for man, and why others could not.
Take note dear Reader, God can’t die for man. In fact, GOD CAN’T DIE, PERIOD! man had to die for man. If Jesus had only been God he couldn’t have redeemed man.
Because Jesus was truly man also, he in his humanity could die for other human beings and redeem all of humanity of all ages right up to the very end.
NOW, WHERE DOES THE CHRISTIAN GET HIS AUTHORITY TO BATTLE THE DEVIL AND HIS WICKED SPIRITS.
Remember, you just read that Jesus was raised up by His Father to sit in heavenly places, far above all these mighty rulers of darkness.
NOW, LISTEN TO THIS. THIS IS SHOUTING GROUND.
WHERE JESUS IS SEATED, SO ARE WE. GLORY, GLORY, GLORY.
(Ephesians 2:4-6) “But, God who is rich in mercy, for His great love, wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, has made us alive together with Christ, (by grace you are saved)…and ‘HAS RAISED US UP TOGETHER, AND MADE US SIT TOGETHER, – IN HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST JESUS”.

Our authority in Christ has been given us by our heavenly Father, and as Jesus is raised up far above all principality and power, ‘SO ARE WE, BECAUSE WERE WERE RAISED UP TOGETHER WITH CHRIST IN THIS HIGH AND LOFTY PLACE, IN HEAVENLY REALMS.
This gives us the authority over Satan and all his power. WE DON’T HAVE TO BE AFRAID OF ANY DEVIL.
AND THROUGH THIS AUTHORITY IN JESUS NAME, BELIEVERS CLOSE TO THE LORD, CAN AND WILL DEFEAT ALL THE ‘POWERS OF DARKNESS’. AMEN.
