Our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.
(Romans 13:11-14) “The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore ‘CAST OFF THE WORKS OF DARKNESS, AND LET US PUT ON THE ARMOR OF LIGHT”.
Child of God this scripture is talking about ‘What Time is It?’ It’s late, and we must not become careless. Have we become unconcerned about our spiritual condition?

Have we been moving farther and farther away from God, by becoming more interested in worldly things, and worldly pursuits?
These may not necessarily be sins, (but, could become sins), by involving ourselves more and more completely in them.
Worldly things if not a sin at first, become sin at the lower end of the spectrum.

Pure love at the highest level is love from and for God. Love at the lowest (self-centered level) has become a twisted and deformed love, called, ‘the lust of the flesh.”
Simply, by becoming immersed in even legitimate things to the extreme, we begin forcing God out of our lives, without even being aware of it. GOD HELP US ALL. AMEN?

Let us take action today, and “Cast off the works of darkness”, such as drunkenness, sexual immorality, sensuality, quarreling, jealousy, hate, yes, and even gossip and let us “Put on the Armor of light”.

True light, which is godliness and holiness destroys the darkness and puts the devil to flight.
The armor of light is Jesus Christ Himself. Scripture says “Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, (by faith, and then take the next step.
WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP?
OUR PART, that’s the Next Step. Our part is what I call a ‘divine human cooperation’. “
“AND MAKE NOT PROVISION FOR THE FLESH, TO FULFILL THE LUSTS THEREOF“. (Check out ‘Mercy, Where Will I Find It’:
Believing that we have no part in this and that God will do it all, is not scriptural and will not work, and will fail miserably.
Trusting God to do His part is absolutely necessary, for without Him we can do nothing.
But we have a responsibility to do our part, once we have trusted Him to do His part.
Remember, when you were first saved you were so on fire for the Lord? You loved Him so much?
But today, not so much. The fire that burned so bright, now is burning low or has gone out, and now, is only smoldering.
Look at the warning Jesus gives to the Church of Laodicea.
(Revelation 3:15-17) “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I would you were cold or hot. So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue (spit or vomit) you out of my mouth. Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and know not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

“It’s like rowing a boat. You need both oars, or you’ll go in circles. One oar is trusting God to do His part.
SO, WHAT IS HIS PART?
His part which none of us can do is this.
Only God could send a Savior able to save us.
Only our Savior, Jesus, the sinless one would qualify to pay for our sins, by dying our death for sin.
Only He could carry our sin away to hell itself, where it belonged, never to be resurrected again, or every to be brought up against us.
Only He He could pay the debt of sin we owed.
Only He could break the power of sin over us. (We, however, have to cooperate with Him).
Only He could break the everlasting hold of the Devil’s power over us.
Only He could sanctify us and make us ‘HOLY’. (Again we must cooperate with Him)
Only He could deliver us from indwelling sin.
Only He could baptize us in the Holy Spirit, and give us the initial physical evidence of speaking with tongues, Holy Ghost tongues.
Not demonic tongues. That’s another subject. Remember for every genuine gift the Lord God gives believers, the Devil has a counterfeit, and tongues is no exception.

But, don’t make the mistake of attributing tongues of the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit to the Devil). If you do, you are coming very close to blaspheming the Holy Ghost. Remember there’s no forgiveness for that sin.
But let me say, “If you have done that ignorantly, and didn’t understand, God knows that, and certainly will forgive you for it.
I’m simply saying, “be very careful”, you’re skating on thin ice. Don’t make jokes about the Holy Spirit. Here’s where having the ‘FEAR OF GOD IS VERY, VERY IMPORTANT.’
Reverence the Lord God, and His Word, His blood, His Spirit, and His ‘Operations.
And remember this, God loves you greatly, and is not looking for reasons to cast you off, but reasons to hang on to you, and not let you go.
Proverbs 9:10 “The ‘FEAR OF THE LORD’ is the Beginning of ‘WISDOM’, and the Knowledge of the ‘HOLY’ is ‘Understanding'”

The church at large no longer regards the ‘Fear of the Lord’ as necessary, and as a result many will have no trouble sinning more and more and more until they lose their souls. BE WARNED.
Make note, that the Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom, or the starting point for wisdom. It is the ‘FOUNDATION’ of wisdom.
The Fear of the Lord keeps you from falling off the Cliff. The Fear of the Lord keeps you ‘SAFE’.
And remember the two oars again. God’s part and ours?
Our part is the other oar, our responsibility, doing our part.
AND WHAT IS OUR PART?
Our part is to love Him with all our heart, and to be ‘OBEDIENT TO HIS WORD,’ and walk close to Him all the days of our lives.
Remember this: God loves you greatly. He wants you to be encouraged. He will bless you, and help you all along your Christian walk.
Simply trust Him, obey Him, love Him, walk with Him, walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh.
Walk in the light, and when you do ‘THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST CLEANSES YOU FROM ALL SIN.
THEN YOU HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH THE BRETHREN WHO ALSO WALK IN THE LIGHT. JESUS IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD, HE THAT FOLLOWS HIM SHALL NOT WALK IN DARKNESS BUT SHALL HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE” (John 8:12)
(I John 1:7) “If we walk in the light as he is in the light we have fellowship one with the other and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin”. The word ‘IF’ in this scripture is the condition upon which we have two things. Those two things are fellowship with other blood-washed Believers and having the blood of Jesus cleanse us from all sin. If we walk in the light we have fellowship, and if we walk in the light the blood of Jesus cleanses us, and keeps on cleansing us from all sin.

God expects that of us and gives us enabling power by the ‘Riches of His Grace’. You will be encouraged as you keep trusting Him and obeying Him, He will always be with you. He will not abandon you. You are precious to Him.
