My whole purpose is to tell you what God wants me to tell you. And in that purpose is a great desire to help you understand what this scripture is all about.
And to tell you and describe to you some of these powerful spiritual weapons to use against the enemy.
(2 Cor 10:4-5) “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal.”
Note, that if we have weapons, then we understand that we are in a battle, a ‘SPIRITUAL BATTLE’, correct? And note also that our weapons are not carnal. Because these enemies are spiritual, we have to use spiritual weapons.
Evil spirits are just that, ‘spirits’, so we can’t kill them with bullets, knives, machettes, or swords. “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but are ‘mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds’.
SO WHAT ARE OUR SPIRITUAL WEAPONS?
Here are topmost of our most powerful and effective weapons against Satan and his demons.
JESUS NAME:
His name is all powerful. After Jesus resurrection He said, “All power is given unto me ‘IN HEAVEN AND IN EARTH’ (Matt. 28:19).
Now, all believers have been empowered by the use of Jesus name. It is a tragedy that so many Christians don’t believe that, or don’t believe it is for today’s Christians.
Please, Dear Child of God, don’t listen to the voice of the Devil, the voice of doubt, or even your denomination (if they deny this truth).
To deny this truth is to nullify the Word of God, and God’s plan to reach the planet for Christ, to promote His agenda, and to bring in the Kingdom of God.
(Mark 16:17-18) “And these signs shall follow them that believer; In My name shall they ‘CAST OUT DEVILS”; They shall ‘SPEAK WITH NEW TONGUES’; They shall ‘TAKE UP SERPENTS‘; And if they ‘DRINK ANY DEADLY THING IT SHALL NOT HURT THEM’; They shall ‘LAY HANDS ON THE SICK AND THEY SHALL RECOVER”.
To deny what Jesus said the Church can do in His name is to ‘STRIP THE GOSPEL OF ALL POWER’, and to let the power of the enemy go unchallenged and unchecked.
Where we see these things, practiced by faith, we see the Father actually backing these words of Jesus up.
NOW, WE ARE NOT ‘SNAKE HANDLERS‘. We believe it like it’s been recorded in the book of Acts that Paul in gathering sticks for a fire, was bitten by a viper which fastened itself to Paul’s hand, and he slung it into the fire (Acts 28:3).
The people of the Island said, “He must be a great sinner. They expected him to go into convulsions, fall to the ground and in a few minutes die because Vipers are very poisonous and deadly.
This Scripture means that if you pick up serpents accidentally, like Paul did they won’t hurt you.

Or if challenged to handle them when you have no choice. Those snake handlers would do bodily harm to you if you didn’t.
At a Pleasant Grove Campgrounds in a camp meeting, while a preacher was preaching the Word of God, some snake handlers broke into the service and threatened bodily harm to the speaker if he didn’t handle those big rattlesnakes.
They wanted everybody to see him handle them , and ‘WATCH HIM GET BITTEN, POISONED, GET SICK, AND HOPEFULLY DIE.
SO, WHAT HAPPENED?
God spoke to the speaker and said, “HANDLE THEM”. So the speaker told them to bring him the snakes.
He took them up trusting God to protect him, and you know what? He did. While he was handling those snakes the glory of God came down, and the fire department showed up and asked where the fire was.”
They told the fire department that there was no fire. The fire chief said, “But a number of people called and said the Camp meeting building was on fire. They saw the blaze on top of the building.”
Well God proved that Scripture to be right.
The speaker was never bitten, and the glory of God showed forth in heavenly glory like flames of fire.
Now, did Jesus mean we were to deliberately take up serpents? No, never. But God used that threat as a challenge to prove the Scripture was true and accurate.
To deny these scriptures by saying the best manuscripts don’t even have this recorded in Mark is to side in against the truth, spirit, and power of the gospel.
No, actually it’s the other way around, the best manuscripts or (copies) do contain this, and the corrupted manuscripts have deleted these scriptures.
JESUS’ STRIPES
Jesus’ Stripes is another weapon.

Isa 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and by his stripes we are healed”.
I Peter 2:24 “Who his own self bear our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sin, should live unto righteousness, by whose stripes we ‘WERE’ healed”.
In the Old Testament looking forward to the cross we find Isa 53:5 telling us that ‘by Jesus stripes we ‘ARE‘ HEALED, And in the New Testament we find Peter telling us that by His stripes we ‘WERE‘ HEALED.
Faith of course is the ingredient that must be applied to this and all scripture. Faith is what plugs us into the power source of our healing.
Plug the fan into the socket and the electricity flows and the fan turns on, unplug it and the fan comes to a stop.
THE BLOOD OF JESUS:
All of redemption, and the full work of Calvary is accomplished through Jesus death on the cross and His ‘SHED BLOOD.
You can’t learn too much about Jesus blood: THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS
The full work of Calvary was accomplished by Jesus and the ‘SHEDDING OF HIS BLOOD.
And it was ‘ACTIVATED’ by the power of His Resurrection,
Now, it can be manifested by faith in God, and what Jesus accomplished for us on the cross.
The manifestation of Calvary’s full work is then seen in people getting healed, people being set free from demon power, people receiving the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, and signs and wonders being manifested in Jesus name.
And remember, none of this could ever take place without the shedding of Jesus precious and powerful blood.
So believe in the blood. Apply the blood. The Devil and demons cannot get through the blood.
It is the blood of Jesus that has bought and brought us redemption.
Before you ever do ‘Spiritual Warfare’, apply the blood of Jesus over yourself, family, children, spouse, and the one’s you are praying for. IT IS POWERFUL PROTECTION.
It stops him in his tracks. (Rev. 12:11) “And they overcame him (the devil and his demons) by the ‘BLOOD OF THE LAMB’, and the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death”.
THE WORD OF GOD
The Word of God is all powerful and terrorizes the devil. He can’t work when the Word is used against him by faith.
The Word of God is a ‘Mighty SWORD‘.
(Ephesians 6:17) “Take the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT which is ‘THE WORD OF GOD….”
WHAT IS A SWORD USED FOR?

A sword is used for battle. It is used to maim, to disable, to defeat, to destroy, and to kill your enemy with.
The reverse will happen if we don’t have the Sword of the Spirit in hand ready to use at a moments notice.
The enemy will have his plans of destruction already laid out for you, your children, and your family and they will have all their swords drawn out against you.
if you don’t have your plan ready to execute against the devil and his demons, they will cut you to pieces. They will destroy you and your whole family. THIS IS A SERIOUS MATTER.
You need to learn to use your sword effectively and skillfully.
“Well, is it really all that important? You say. It’s really only symbolic right? No, no, it’s not.
Though Paul uses symbolic language, how surprised we would be if our spiritual eyes were opened and we saw that we have been given a genuine, real, and powerful Sword.
It is a real sword in a real spiritual realm, and really cuts down a real, but invisible enemy, ‘THE DEVIL AND HIS DEMONS’.
Most of us as Believers have no clue as to how to use this real Sword.
Have you seen your ‘SWORD’. Have you really ever seen it?
I’ve seen mine.
It’s a spiritual sword, and though it represents the Word of God, it is a literal and real SWORD that is being wielded by you through the Word of God by faith, in the Spirit.
Here’s where we have to take this truth by faith, because it doesn’t compute with our natural reasoning powers.
Things work so differently in the spirit realm. We have to re-educate our minds in order to have the Mind of Christ. (Romans 12:2
Some Christians have cardboard swords, because they have no real faith in a real ‘ARMOR’ that God expects us all to put on and use.
Our ‘Swords’ can get dull, by neglect of the Word, and by not staying constantly in it.
Your Sword will get heavier and heavier the farther from God you drift. And if you drift too far, your sword will get so heavy you can’t even carry it any further.
But, we must become skilled at using the Sword. It’s a two edged, extremely sharp Sword.
PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT (TONGUES).
(Jude 20, 21) “But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost (TONGUES)…Keep yourselves in the ‘Love of God’, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life’.
Speaking in tongues is very powerful and we should use it far more often than we do.
(Rom 8:26-28). Many times we get instant or very quick answers to our prayers because when we pray in the Spirit (Tongues) we are always praying the perfect will of God.
When we pray in English (or native tongue) we don’t always know what the will of God is in a particular situation, or even the person we should be praying for at that moment.
But when we pray in the Spirit, our Spirit is in direct contact with God who always knows what the mind of the Spirit is, and we find the answers are much quicker in coming.
BINDING AND LOOSING.
(Matt. 18:18) “Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven”.
THE HOSTS OF HEAVEN (THE ANGELS OF GOD.
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds…”.

The angels of God are powerful in battle against our spiritual enemies. We could read this part of this scripture by filling in the blank, this way….
“For the weapons of our warfare are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.
“THESE POWERFUL ANGELS, THAT GOD HAS GIVEN CHARGE OVER OUR LIVES FOR PROTECTION, ‘ARE MIGHTY THROUGH GOD’ TO THE PULLING DOWN OF THE STRONGHOLDS OF THE WICKED ONE.
THESE ANGELS ARE PUSHING BACK THE DARKNESS COMING AGAINST US AS CHILDREN OF GOD.
THESE ANGELS ARE FIGHTING FOR US AND ARE VERY POWERFUL, SO ASK GOD FOR THEIR HELP.
IT CAN SHORTEN A LOT OT THE BATTLES AGAINST US. THEY ABSOLUTELY TERRORIZE THE DEVIL
SO, CHILD OF GOD MAKE SURE YOU PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD EVERYDAY, AND BE READY TO WIELD YOUR SWORD AT A MOMENTS NOTICE.
