When we’re depressed we look down and the longer we look down, the more wretched and weary we become. If you are looking down you might know that doubt and perhaps fear is taking over. Recognize it and correct it immediately before it strengthens itself against you. The Bible is filled with encouraging scriptures that talk about the lifting up of our heads and our eyes toward the heavens, because that’s where our hope come from. God is higher than us, much higher. He is called the Most High God. GLORY TO HIS NAME.
Ps 123:1-2 “I will lift up my eyes unto the hills from whence comes my help. My help comes from the Lord which made heaven and earth.” “Weary child, child of God. Read this scripture. Believe it. Confess it. Put it in the first person. See it. While you’re quoting it, do what it says. Lift your eyes unto the Everlasting Hills. Those Hills are wonderful glorious heavenly places in Christ Jesus. See what you’re saying, while you’re seeing it, allow your spirit to ascend into that glorious, life-giving place where you are raised up by the Heavenly Father to sit with Christ in. It’s a real place. It’s your inheritance. It belongs to you, if you belong to Him. Your help, my help comes from our wonderful Lord and Savior and helper, Jesus Christ. “Christ is offering that help to you now, today, not tomorrow or next week, but now. Reach out and take it from the Lord. REJOICE, BE THANKFUL, BECAUSE YOUR HELP HAS COME. HOPE HAS COME. ENCOURAGMENT HAS COME. NOW PRAISE HIM, WORSHIP HIM, LOVE HIM. CAN’T YOU NOW SEE HIS LOVE IS GREATER THAN YOUR LOVE, GREATER THAN HUMAN LOVE COULD EVER BE, OR HOPE TO BE. AMEN.
