— RAY: “SO YOU WANT TO BE TOTALLY LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD. CONGRATULATIONS. BUT BE WARNED. WHY? LET ME TELL YOU WHY.”
Let me assure you that I believe that each Christian needs to be Spirit filled, and baptized in the Holy Spirit, and totally led by the Spirit of God.

It is so crucial that we have an open door right into the throne room in heaven and that we can this very day hear a word of encouragement from God, or receive an assignment that will prompt a believer to do exactly what God wants done, right now. Now, here’s where the balance comes in.
Do we really know and understand what it means to be led by the Holy Spirit? At best we only know in part, and we learn as we faithfully follow Jesus every day.

Doesn’t the scripture tell us in Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons (children) of God”. You say, “See there, that scripture settles it. We are to be led by the Spirit of God.
Let me shock you again. It is not those who have little desire to walk close to God that are in such danger of deception, but those who want nothing else, but to be led totally and completely by the Holy Spirit.

Those who seek to be completely led by the Spirit, is a virtuous desire and pleasing to God.
But these noble souls become serious targets of high level spirits of ‘DECEPTION’.

But, by the “Gift of The Discerning of Spirits’, we will be shown what is actually happening in the Spirit Realm, and therefore we can accurately move against the Powers of Darkiness, and avoid it or push it back. THIS GIFT IS VERY MUCH NEEDED IN THE BODY OF CHRIST.
WHY DOES SATAN ATTEMPT TO DERAIL CHRISTIANS THROUGH DECEPTION?
He does this because he knows they will cause great damage to his kingdom, and destroy so much of his success against individuals, and churches.

If Satan can deceive the Spirit filled Believer, the Believer will help our Enemy to promote his lies, and deceptions far and wide.
Satan is deceiving multitudes and is bringing in heresies, and false doctrines to the church, and destroying thousands of souls (even many Spirit filled believers). You say, “Oh, that can’t be”. But I’ll prove it to you.

If the Spirit filled believer who loves God so much, and wants only to be led by God’s Spirit believes and says, “I don’t need to go by the Word of God anymore, because the Spirit has taken me beyond that, BE WARNED.
Do you hear yourself? Have you become so spiritual now that God is taking you beyond the the Word of God? I’ve matured in the Spirit so much now that I am led by the Spirit by visions, dreams, prophecies, signs and wonders. So, I don’t need the Word. Child of God, at this point you are in real trouble.

Dear Friend, we will Always need the Word of God. It’s our compass that points us to true North, Heaven itself. It is our Roadmap through this life, and it instructs us in righteousness. IT REVEALS TO US WHAT IS RIGHT AND WRONG.
It teaches us to love our neighbor as ourselves. Without love, self-interest becomes selfishness. Without love we become self-centered, and we become the core and center of our universe.

And as a result of us being the center, we have no concern for others, and we will neglect and even hurt and take advantage of others as long as it promotes us.
Now, concerning spiritual experiences, such as dreams, visions, prophecies, and the Nine Spiritual Gifts, they are scriptural and must be considered in our walk with God.
Though we can’t discard dreams and visions, they must ‘AGREE WITH THE WORD OF GOD’.

We can’t be so suspicious, however, of every spiritual experience that we always suspect that it’s a deception, or a lying spirit from the Devil himself.
That is equally as bad as accepting a vision or dream that we think is of God, when it really has been given by the Devil.
HERE’S THE REALITY AND HERE’S THE BALANCE.
We must test all things, especially spiritual experiences, and encounters with spirit beings. Remember, there are false ‘angels of light’, and even ‘false Jesus’.
(I John 4:1-5) “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they be of God. Hereby you know the Spirit of God, every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: And this is that spirit of anti-Christ, whereof you have heard that it should come, and even now is in the world.”

This is the basic distinction between the Spirit of Christ and the Spirit of Anti-Christ, but it is by no means the only test.
Deceiving spirits can look like, be clothed in light like Jesus, come across very tender and loving like Jesus, quote scripture like Jesus, give you assignments which seem like they’re from God, and perform miracles, but are assignments from hell, and they’ll even give false anointings.
God confirms the preaching of His Word by genuine miracles, but Satan also is capable of producing miracles to confirm his lies, using lying wonders.
AGAIN, REMEMBER THIS, GOD DOES, AND WILL, GENUINELY CONFIRM HIS WORD WITH SIGNS, WONDERS AND MIRACLES, AND MANY SOULS WILL COME INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS SAVIOR, LORD, AND ‘KING‘

Check all things out by the Word. Remember, (Hebrews 4:13) says the ‘WORD OF GOD’ is quick (alive) and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing, even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow and is a ‘DISCERNER’ of the thoughts and intents of the heart”.
The Word also reveals the evil thoughts and wicked intents of Satan’s black heart). And so the Word exposes deceptions, lies, heresies, and false leadings of the ‘Wicked one’.
Also Remember, that the Word and the Spirit agree. If they don’t agree, you have a false, lying, destructive spirit operating.
So, if you want to be led by the Spirit of God, check that leading out by the Word, which is in total agreement with the ‘TRUE HOLY SPIRIT’.
But to be led by the Spirit, we must not quench the spiritual gifts, either, that God has equipped the Church with. We must not quench prophecy like the Scripture says in I Thessalonians 5:19).
(I Thess. 5:19) “Quench not the Spirit”….”Do not put out the Spirit’s fire” (Eph. 4:30) “And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God in whom you were sealed unto the Day of Redemption”.
(I Cor. 14:39) “So, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and forbid not to speak in tongues, for all things should be done decently and in order”.
